The purpose of this announcement is to gain market research knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification. The Department of Veterans Affairs Coatesville VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320, is seeking potential sources capable of providing a new System for Management of Ocular Surface and Eyelid Disease capable of treating dry eye syndrome, meibomian gland disease, blepharitis, Acne Rosacea, and conditions affecting the skin around the eyes in accordance with the Draft Statement of Need (SON) below. The Government s purpose of this Sources Sought is to determine if there are manufacturer systems capable of meeting all the salient characteristics listed in the SON. STATEMENT OF NEED (SON) Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Optometry Department Treatment Modality for Management of Ocular Surface and Eyelid Disease DESCRIPTION: The Optometry Department of Coatesville VA Medical Center (VAMC) requires a device specifically designed to address ocular surface and eyelid diseases, such as dry eye syndrome, meibomian gland disease, blepharitis, Acne Rosacea, and related skin conditions around the eyes. The required technology must utilize dual frequency monopolar Radio Frequency (RF) and electronic dynamic muscle stimulation (DMS) to deliver heat and muscle stimulation at varying tissue depths.
