Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Threadinq ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our SAM.gov federal contract monitoring service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use the Service:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed), or the profile details returned by Google when you sign in with Google.
- Search configuration — the saved searches you create: keywords, NAICS codes, set-aside types, agencies, states, and contract value ranges.
- Alert settings — the email addresses, Slack webhooks, and webhook URLs you configure to receive alerts.
- Billing information — subscription status and plan. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor (Polar) and are never stored on our servers.
- Usage data — how you interact with opportunities (read, dismissed, pursued) and standard server logs such as IP address and browser type.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate the Service — matching SAM.gov opportunities against your saved searches and delivering alerts.
- To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
- To send transactional messages (alerts, deadline reminders, amendment notices, and account notices).
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Public Government Data
Opportunity data displayed in the Service originates from SAM.gov and other U.S. government sources, which are public records. Threadinq is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SAM.gov or the U.S. Government.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Service — for example, our payment processor (Polar), email delivery provider, and cloud hosting — and only as needed to provide the Service. If you configure Slack or webhook alerts, opportunity data is sent to the endpoints you specify. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Data Retention
We retain your account and configuration data for as long as your account is active. Matched opportunities are retained according to your plan (90 days on Starter, one year on Pro, and unlimited on Agency). You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Your Choices
- Access and update your account information from your settings.
- Remove alert channels at any time to stop receiving notifications.
- Cancel your subscription, which stops future billing.
- Request account deletion by contacting us through the support center.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will notify you.
