Information Requested from Industry: In response to the Sources Sought, interested Contractors shall submit the following information and any Capabilities/Qualifications Statement to include but not limited to an overview of proposed solution(s) and a description of the product your company possesses in accordance with the Statement of Work draft / Salient Characteristics List. Responses to market research table questionnaire shall be submitted. If this information is not provided, then it will be assumed the entire requirement cannot be met. Description of Requirement: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Network Contracting Office 19 (NCO 19) is conducting a market survey and is seeking potential sources for a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) storage cabinet integrated with Unique Device Identifier (UDI)-compliant tissue and implant tracking software to support patient safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient inventory management. This Sources Sought Notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal and shall not be construed as an obligation or commitment by the Government. An award will not be made on any offers submitted in response to this notice, and it shall not be implied that the Government is committed to providing any solicitation or award following this notice. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate a respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided. Requirement Item: (1) InVita UDTracker® RFID Cabinet consisting of Terso Solutions RFID cabinet hardware integrated with InVita's UDTracker® tissue and implant tracking software to support real-time, automated inventory management of tissues, biologics, and implantable medical devices at Salt Lake City VA Medical Center. Together, the hardware and software shall deliver complete inventory visibility, reduce implant retrieval time from storage to the operating room, improve reconciliation efficiency, minimize human error, and reduce product loss, expired waste, and stockouts. The system is intended for use in operating rooms, cardiac catheterization (Cath) laboratories, ambulatory surgery centers, or other locations where high-value medical inventory is stored. Required Salient Characteristics: Core Functionality RFID-enabled ultra-low temperature storage for tissues, implants, blood products, and biologics. Automated tracking of every item placed in or removed from the freezer. Real-time visibility of inventory levels with full chain-of-custody history. Automated expiration alerts and usage reporting Technical Specifications Ultra-low temperature capability depending on model (typically -20°C to -80°C). Integrated high-frequency RFID antennas ensuring 100% scanning coverage. Secure electronic locking system with access control integration. High-density storage capacity ranging from ~57 to 192 items (varies by configuration). Integration & Interoperability Seamless integration with InVita UDITracker Tissue & Implant Management system. Compatible with hospital EMR/EHR and MMIS systems using secure API connections.
