It is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to award a contract. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is to conduct market research to locate interested, experienced and potential qualified constructions firms capable of completing this project. Firm must identify their socio-economic status for NAICS Code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The appropriate North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220 with the applicable business size of $45.0 million. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: This project is intended to renovate existing space in building 5 and/or 5B for the creation of a same day access clinic for Mental Health as per VHA directive 1231(2) and VHA handbook 1160.1. The project shall include, but not limited to, architectural, engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, electrical engineering, and fire protection as needed within the space. Project Scope 1. This project shall renovate approximately 1100 SF of space in building 5 and/or 5B for use as a same day access mental health clinic in adherence to VHA directive 1231(2) and VHA Handbook 1160.1. 2. The design will include 4 exam rooms as well as a combination waiting room and reception area to support the needs of the service line. 3. The design team has developed three possible designs for review that accommodate the project s goals and scope. 4. The A/E will review VA furnished asbestos survey to identify known areas of remediation then subsequently the A/E shall conduct a study to supplement this survey to identify additional passible asbestos contamination. The A/E is responsible for all specifications and cost estimations associated with remediation required as part of the design period of services. 5. Construction will consist of but is not limited to, the following: necessary demolition and removal: new and reconfigured mechanical, plumbing, lighting, fire protection, and electrical systems upgrades (as necessary); new interior finishes to ceiling, walls, and flooring; new casework; site preparation for ins...
