The Washington DC VA Medical Center has a need for the Rampart Radiation Protection System for the Cath Lab. This system will greatly reduce radiation scatter during cardiac catheterization procedures and allow providers to go lead free, if desired. This system shall be compatible with and mounted onto Skytron Freedom series booms and the Philips Azurion M20 flurorscopy table. Installation and training for clinical staff must be included. Scope of Work. The procurement shall include all parts, materials, labor, software/licenses, resources, and training required to implement and utilize the equipment/system to their fullest capacity. All items must be covered by manufacturer s warranty and procured through a manufacturer-approved distribution channel. Distributers and resellers must be able to document ability to provide items through manufacturer-approved distribution channels upon request. 2.1 Required Features Rampart Guardian (M1130-TPS) Tri-panel shield must be compatible with and mounted to Skytron Freedom series 43 LD Vertical spring arm (5000N) 65-108 lbs (42A-43H). Mounting and installation must be completed by technicians familiar with installation of a Rampart Guardian System onto Skytron Freedom series booms.
