Sources Sought Notice and Industry Day for Project “Repair Building 2008” on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, REQUEST FOR QUOTE, OR INVITATION FOR BID. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Seattle District, is seeking information regarding the interest, capability, and availability of qualified construction contractors to perform the “Repair Building 2008” located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), WA. This sources-sought notice is a tool to identify businesses with the capability to accomplish contract requirements and is for information/market research purposes only and does not obligate the Government or Contractor in any way. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice, or any follow-up information. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. It is the intent of the Government to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) and award a construction contract using a Best Value Trade Off (BVTO) source selection. The anticipated solicitation will be evaluated based on factors outlining the best overall value to the Government. The current intent is to solicit this requirement as a Small Business set-aside; however, Other than Small Businesses are highly encouraged to provide responses and participate. PROJECT INFORMATION: NAICS: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Project magnitude is anticipated to be between $10M and $25M. The Contractor shall supply all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials to perform all work in strict accordance with the contract drawings, contract specifications, the Statement of Work, and any identified attachments to provide exterior repairs, interior repairs, and a new HVAC and controls system at Building 2008. Building 2008 is located in the historic district of Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), WA between the east-west streets of Pendleton Ave and Liggett Ave, and directly off the east side of N 3rd St. It was constructed in the early 1920s and functions as an administrative building for multiple user groups. Building 2008 has an occupied basement, three other occupied floors, and an attic. It no longer serves as a barracks and mostly has an interior function of administrative offices with supporting spaces. The main occupancy is business, and there are a multitude of various end-users in the building. This project entails significant space and phasing constraints that will require careful coordination and execution. INDUSTRY DAY INFORMATION: In conjunction with this Sources Sought, the Government will host an Industry Day at Building 2008, JBLM. The event is scheduled for 29 July 2026, starting at 9:00 AM and concluding at approximately 12:00 PM. Personnel shall meet outside the northeast entrance (C Wing) of Building 2008.
