Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Modular Transit Case Solutions for Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) Capabilities The U.S. Army, Product Manager Command Post Modernization (PdM CPMod) is seeking information from industry to assist with the development and planning of a potential new requirement. 1. Overview PdM CPMod requires a modular, dismountable installation of Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) capabilities within their vehicle platforms. PdM CPMod is seeking transit case solutions that enables NGC2 tactical communication and computing equipment to be rapidly installed, removed, transported, and operated in a manner that supports expeditionary and distributed mission requirements. The purpose of this RFI is to identify existing or near-term commercial and Government off-the-shelf transit case solutions, as well as innovative approaches, that can house NGC2 tactical communication and computing equipment in a modular, dismountable, and ruggedized configuration. The Government intends to use the information collected to inform requirement definition, assess market maturity, identify technical and integration risks, and shape an acquisition strategy. 2. Scope of Effort The scope of this effort encompasses the design, fabrication, and integration capability for modular transit cases that: a. Securely house and protect NGC2 tactical communication and computing equipment during transport and operation. b. Support tool-less mounting, dismounting, and stacking within constrained Standardized A-Kit / Vehicle Envelope (SAVE). c. Enable single-Soldier handling and rapid reconfiguration between mounted (vehicle) and dismounted (expeditionary) operating modes. d. Provide integrated power distribution, signal patching, and active cooling to support installed electronic capabilities. e. Comply with airline carry-on and SAVE dimensional constraints to facilitate air and ground transportability. Respondents are encouraged to address their ability to address the following characteristics. 3. Technical Characteristics The Government is interested in transit case solutions that address the following characteristics: a. External dimensions compliant with SAVE space and airline carry-on constraints (16.1" W x 14" H x 9" D) b. Removable lids, panels, and handle placement c. One-person lift d. Internal mounting to enable components to be quickly removed and replaced e. Tool-less removal from SAVE space f. Tool-less secure stacking g. Built-in power distribution for AC and DC inputs/outputs, conditioning and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) h. Patch panels i. Active cooling 4. Requested Information Interested parties are requested to provide the following information in their white paper response: a. Company Information. Company name, address, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), point of contact (name, phone, email), business size and socioeconomic status (e.g., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB), and applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. b. Capability Statement. A description of the respondent's capability to provide a transit case solution that addresses technical characteristics in Section 3. Identify which characteristics can be met with existing products and which would require development. c. Product Description. Technical description of the proposed solution(s), including materials, construction, dimensions, weight (empty and representative loaded), thermal/cooling approach, power distribution and conditioning architecture, and stacking/mounting mechanisms. Photographs, diagrams, or specification sheets are encouraged. d. Maturity and Availability. Technology Readiness Level (TRL) or commercial maturity of the proposed solution, current production status, lead times, and any relevant certifications or compliance (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, airline carry-on standards). e. Customization and Integration. Ability to tailor solutions to sp...
