The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Background: The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation’s leading medical research agency and the primary Federal agency whose mission is to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge. Purpose and Objectives: The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) needs to procure a stimulus presentation system for presenting visual stimuli at a high screen refresh rate (>200Hz) with precise calibration for both luminance and color, with a wide field of view, and the capability of unusual color primaries in the violet, cyan, or yellow regions. Finally, we require a projector with 4-16 primaries, instead of the standard 3-primary systems. This instrument will be used with in the behavioral laborator in the OP4 clinic (rm 315) for use by all investigators in the Laboratory of Brain & Cognition and their collaborators (>40 researchers) in behavioral and psychophysical experimental setups.. To continue to support cutting-edge research, it is essential to acquire scientific equipment that will enhance its capabilities as required by specific projects.
