The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale three (3) items of standing timber on approximately 357 acres within six (6) separate harvest blocks at Fort A.P. Hill, Bowling Green, VA 22427 of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: The sales are sold per Item by unit, harvested timber will be sold by WEIGHT by the ton. Item 1 - TIMBER IN 2 BLOCKS (92 ACRES) PINE SAWTIMBER – 2799 Tons PINE CHIP N SAW – 222 Tons PINE PULPWOOD – 1286 Tons OAK SAWTIMBER – 1303 Tons POPLAR SAWTIMBER – 434 Tons MISC. HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER – 46 Tons HARDWOOD PULPWOOD – 1249 Tons Tons of Chips (optional) – 7339 Tons Item 2 - TIMBER IN 1 BLOCKS (67 ACRES) PINE SAWTIMBER – 897 Tons PINE CHIP N SAW – 192 Tons PINE PULPWOOD – 1720 Tons OAK SAWTIMBER – 1441 Tons POPLAR SAWTIMBER – 527 Tons MISC. HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER – 1229 Tons HARDWOOD PULPWOOD – 2554 Tons Tons of Chips (optional) – 10871 Tons Contract Period of Performance: Item # one (1) Block # one (1), TA-06AB1-26, 60 Acres – All harvest operations including tree felling, skidding, processing at the log deck and hauling shall be complete prior to 1 April 2028, final site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be complete by 1 April 2028. No tree cutting 1 April to 30 September. Temporary closeout of skid trails shall occur if equipment will be moved either offsite or to a different log deck or if a severe storm event generally exceeding two inches (2”) of liquid precipitation occurs or is anticipated to saturate soils. Item # one (1) Block # two (2), TA-06AB2-26, 32 Acres – All harvest operations including tree felling, skidding, processing at the log deck and hauling shall be complete prior to 1 April 2028, final site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be complete by 1 April 2028. No tree cutting 1 April to 30 September. Temporary closeout of skid trails shall occur if equipment will be moved either offsite or to a different log deck or if a severe storm event generally exceeding two inches (2”) of liquid precipitation occurs or is anticipated to saturate soils. Item # two (2) Block # three (3), TA-06BA-26, 66 Acres – All harvest operations including tree felling, skidding, processing at the log deck and hauling shall be complete prior to 1 April 2028, final site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be complete by 1 April 2028.
